On our church's Kurzweil grand piano, some of the key feel like the weights are messed up. Some make a clicking noise when you mash them and they weight of the key doesn't feel right. The keys that are affected are in the middle section of the keyboard so I feel that something is worn out. I've worked on regular piano before but I haven't attempted to look inside of this one. Is this something that an ameteur could fix?
I don't see you doing any damage by having a look but I would get a piano tuner or repairer in to investigate the problem expertly - no slight on you. But if your Church congregation depend on it it's well worth the money.
Good Luck

piano works except any sound comes through with distortion. The level of distortion is less when it has been on for a while.Sometimes it is almost normal for a time before reverting to distortion. There is also an increased ''hiss'' level when nothing is playing. The distortioon is controlled by the volume control. Any ideas?
