Hi have a lvm-37w1 lcd tv screen is distorted has red&green dots

Hi have a lvm-37w1 westinghouse lcd tv it powers on only displays a picture when input a/v or s video is selected. When ypbr 1 or ypbr 2 is selected it says no input detected on the screen red and green colors all over screen short lines going horizontal distorting the screen. when menu is on screen there are 8 lines running vertical with muticolored dots on the menu it does show a picture stays on for 5 min. or more. if nothing is connected to input tv goes off to amber light 19 sec. after 53 sec turns off screen. Where can I post a picture I think it would help, set is 2 years old does this sound like a power supply problem? power supply is making a noise when set is in standby. Its quiter when set is on and not in standby . Noise is coming from one of the tranformers on power supply. Im sure of this cause i have set apart power supply cover off. help is appreciated thank you
