Samsung RS253BASB SidebySide Fridge Not being Cooled

My Freezer seem to work great 0degree F, but Fridge temp fluctuates between 34-50 F. The temperature gauge that i've put in always says 45 F

Another funny thing is that the Fresh Veggie bin is very cold...freezing veggies inside.

I ran the self diag by pressing PowerFreeze and PowerCool buttons at the same time and it says PLC(power line communication) Error (PLC Related wire cut, Defective PLC module, Defective Communication Components in main PCB) is the description of the test result. (service manual)

Please help
thank you

Re: Samsung RS253BASB SidebySide Fridge Not being Cooled

Your fridge has seperate evaporators for the fridge and freezer sections with a variable speed compressor.
The diagnostic test is telling you that the main control board (PCB) is not communicating properly with the display board where you set the temps, or it is not sensing the condition of the fridge properly, either the fan speed or thermistor resistence.
I do not have a manual in front of me so I can't guide you directly, but look in the manual you have and find the tests for the fridge thermistor and fridge fan motor and follow those instructions. If they are correct according to the manual, you probably need to replace the PCB (PBA in parts diagram) located behind the machine inside the compressor compartment, or possibly the user control board which is the the display board that you use to set the temps.
The service manual you have should give tests for the display board as well, but my bet is the main board in the back.

Top freezer is getting cooled but bottom freezer is not getting chilled

Check freezer fan behind freezer is working. Check ice formation not abstracting the fan by working. This is the common problem- defrost failure. Check thermostat, timer and freezer heater are working.
Simple way of solution. Unplug fridge for some times and after defrost completely, restart the unit.Keep freezer temp @5 degree.

I have the same problem on my Samsung fridge (RS253BASB). I just had warranty work done, they put in a new evaporator two days ago, and now the outside of the freezer wall and the inside divider between...

It sounds unrelated to the evaporator change unless they were working behind the unit. The evaporator is in the freezer. I think you're having a condenser fan problem which is around back behind the cardboard cover. It should be running when the compressor runs.

If the clicking is coming from the electronic control then it is the problem. It controls the fans and defrost etc. It's part 27 on this diagram.

Try this:
Temperature Adjustment
• After 24 hours, adjust the controls as needed. Adjust temperature gradually: push the button in small increments,
allowing the temperature to stabilize.
• Press the button(Freezer Temp or Fridge Temp) repeatedly until the desired set temper.
• For lower temperature, press the button(Freezer Temp or Fridge Temp) towards coldest.
• For higher temperature, press the button(Freezer Temp or Fridge Temp) towards cold.

Look on your sub zero for more model numbers. I have found some information indicating that the refrigerator thermostat may be the problem but need those numbers to confirm. Thanks, Sea Breeze

Samsung rs21wcns has a leak

I found my leak, after checking all lines, connectors, couplers, behind the second to bottom drawer from what appears to be a cooling resevoir. It appears the seams are slightly leaking on both sides. I found water pooling under the bottom drawer and then leaking out the front and followed it back. My Samsung is model RS2556SH

Freezer temp too high

Air must circulate in the freezer when working properly. I am guessing the recirculating vent in the freezer may be blocked which would not bring warmer air back to the coil to be cooled. As for the door, I theorize there may be too much negative pressure which pulls the door in while you were pulling out ... don't have solution yet.

Kenmore sidebyside

Hi! There,,,If you want help, one needs to explain the problem.. A refrig is quite simple in opertion, with time used experience. For a side by side the freezer is cooled with the same system as the refrigerator cooling system. One and only. Freezer works, do you mean it is provining design temperature of some -10 deg F??? Do you have a by-pass duct between the the two. yes, then open it up more, disconnect motor is auto, and prop vent open, set refrig temp to a low temp say 40 deg F. are we cooling??? Post your condition, if you want further info Regards,,,fmauka
