Permanent Zoom State

RE: ILO 27 Inch

images are in a "super zoom" state. For instance, when I watch the news, the newscaster's heads are huge and I can only see them from the neck down.

This happened before and it resolved itself - someone must have been playing with the buttons and fixed it without realizing it. Well, the other day, I accidentally hit the wrong button on the top of the TV and it went into this "super zoom" state again.

Changing the screen to "normal" does not help. I've gone through the menu and can't figure this out.

Any help would be appreciated.

I forgot to mention that one of my kids broke the remote, so hopefully I can fix this problem without it.

The qual/zoom button on my nikon D80 is stuck or jammed and I can't get it released

Hi Guest, if the buttons themselves are depressed and cannot bounce out as the other buttons do you could try to use a super thin jewelers flat screw driver to see if you can get it to pop out. A few things going on here, grit came between the button and the body or, the item that pushes the button to its return state has lost its resiliency. If it is because of loss of resiliency the camera must go in for repairs and a good CLA.

Super Zoom

In addition to the optical zoom, this camera is equipped with a super zoom and digital zoom for taking telephoto and wide-angle shots. The super zoom and digital zoom cannot be used at the same time. Super zoom is used to extend the optical zoom up to 14× magnification. However, the resolution is automatically fixed at 1600 ×1200. Digital Zoom is used to extend the maximum optical zoom to approximately 40x. However, pictures taken with the digital zoom may appear grainy. Camera shake is likely to occur at these higher magnifications, please see “camera shake” question for further details on this.
