Try here-->

If that does not work, you may need to mod it. It can be done with Brewii.

Its in Japanese right? Modding it to English is an illegal practice, not to mention its not advisable as it will restrict the number of games you can play. My suggestion is that you sell your current Wii and purchase another US version.

I stay in India and bought a wii console from Singapore . Recently bought Mariokart game ( with Wheel ) from Dubai duty free . The wii console cannot read the disc - what can i do to make it work ?

If the disk is dirty, you may try to clean it. Rub a small amount of toothpaste gel onto the disk with your fingers, rinse with luke warm water, and dry thoroughly before putting back into your Wii.
Verify the problem isn't with the Wii itself. Make sure that the Wii you purchased will play a different game. (Wii Sports would work fine.)
If the game disk is a pirated or burned copy your Wii has to be modified to read those disks.

Japanese version

I am sorry but the Japanese Wii has no option for English language menus. All Wii menus will be in Japanese.

Need english version of manual

I think the menu and the icons are same regardless... so if that is the case you can try this. once its on scroll all the way to the left which will be the settings tab. so that we are on the same page... scroll all the way up to the first icon and from there go down to your 5th icon which will be the system settings. from there go down to the 2nd icon which will be system language and choose english. just note that if you have an singapore system you may not be able to play u.s. version games since these are region coded for security reasons.

US version Wii Fit and Australian Wii console incompatibility

I don't think changing the TV would make any difference because the console isn't even loading up the disc. To play an NTSC game you would have to use a console from an NTSC area like the US. I'm sure Japan is NTSC as well. I've heard about Freeloader. Ever since I bought an Action Replay cartridge for my N64 I've never trusted Datel (who manufacture Freeloader). It really mucked up my N64. On the other hand I know many people who use Datel products and the like with no probs. I suppose if you got nothing to lose then try Freeloader.

Sorry I could'n t be much more help

Error, remove disc, turn power off

In Singapore, your region is considered "Asia." The simplest way to play Wii games on a Wii from a different region was using Datel's Freeloader disc, but unfortunately Nintendo has patched their firmware blocking the use of this. There are other ways to modify your console to play games from other regions, but all carry a high pricetag and a great deal of risk, and Nintendo can patch the firmware to detect your modification and stop your system from working. You might consider importing a Wii from the UK using or a similar retailer. Best of luck!
