The set should have it's own tuner hook cable to ant and then select ant from remote input

Good day!have ah pensonic model ctv-2155uv trouble is no picture in tv mode, but if u switch to video mode,no problem.only in t.v mode my atenna is no problem.

Your problem is with the tv tuner. Use a vcr tuner connected to your antenna, connect vcr to tv set video input and you have a working tv for normal reception.

The tuner cable broke off my plasma tv how much would it cost to fix it

If the Coax fitting broke off most of the time it is part of the tuner itself--if not it can be fixed--in our shop I will guess between 50 and 80 dollars.

There is a possible way around this: If you manage to route signal to one of the rear audio and video inputs you do not need to repair anything.

All that is required is a cable or sat box that the signal comes out from audio and video jacks (most have that) and you connect to a rear input on the set.

A old vcr will work but is cumbersome---one of the new digital to analog converters will also work if it has the jacks for output.

The worst case is the board with the tuner has to be replaced and that board could be expensive-----Google the model number of the set with "parts" to try to locate which boards the set uses.

This is the low band in the tuner for the set.

If using a cable box unplug it for a while and plug back in for it to reboot.

Also you can route from a box or even an old VCR signal from its audio/video outputs to a set of rear inputs and bypass the TV tuner--use the box or VCR to change channels.

Leave the set on that input and operate without the tuner in the TV.

Need tuner for jvc av 56p776 where can I find one at?

A much cheaper option is route the signal for the set into one of the rear inputs like the DVD uses(most boxes have that or if antenna use a old VCR).

This bypasses the tuner etc and will give a better picture and better sound quality---

A typical tuner is over 100 part and not counting labor (not a do it yourself repair for most people).

Get around the problem by using the rear jacks instead.

I have a Toshiba cx35e70 tv. The problem began as a turn on, live screen, no channels, no sound. I found that when I would tap on the tuner on the main board the problem would disappear. Every thing worked...

Is the VCR going through ch 3 or video inputs - if video inputs your TV tuner is likely bad if through ch 3 seeif te picture goes funny on ch 3 without using the VCR the tuner may be bad on higher band channels - smetimes you can remove the tuner and resolder the tuner itself. But if it always works with the VCR just use it that way and don't bother with the fix.

Tv samsung plasma

If it has not tuner/antenna input then it is just a monitor. At that point you will need a cable box,sat box or something to provide a picture scource to it.

NO sound and cable signals

Looks like someone sold you a unit only partially working.

You may need to have the main board replaced, which is likely why the previous owner sold it.

My solution would be: Buy an inexpensive surround system and a VCR, Use the VCR as your tuner, and plug the audio output from the VCR into your surround system.

This way you will have a tuner (the VCR), and sound through the surround amplifier. You can also plug the audio output from your DVD player direct into the surround amplifier. This solution would likely run you less than half the cost of replacing the main board in the TV.

The set you have has a bad tuner assembly. At this point most likely you would be better off getting a new TV set. Good Luck

No display with DVD, VCR, or tuner

It sounds to me without knowing the model or type unit that you may need to unplug tv AND take batteries out of remote for a few seconds, replug and start over. Hope it helps

FUZZY (SNOWY) PICTURE

When you say you have tried all the inputs you are not clear if you mean tuner, vcr, dvd, aux, etc. If you are talking about only the cable input it sounds like you have a bad tuner. To obtain picture in picture there are 2 tuners in your set. This would explain why the small picture is ok while the main picture is bad. You should be able to swap the signals (see your ops manual). Try this. If the snow moves the one tuner is bad. If you have put other signals in (besides cable)such as dvd then the problem is in the matrix circuitry where the two signals merge. Either problem should be easy for a good tech to solve and not cost a whole lot.
