I've had my SanDisk Sansa for one year in December. Never had any troubles with it. All of a sudden it stopped playing out of one ear, so naturally I bought new ear buds. Problem persists. I'm thinking there is no real solution. They want you to buy a new one every year so they don't make them to last.

I have had this problem with my zen micro. I opened it up and looked at the headphone jack, and the contacts looked fine (parts that touch the plug from the headphone) so I took it off and resoldered it on and it worked fine. for about 1 minute. so that wasn't the problem. I tried looking at the contacts that go from one circuit board to the other, and even tried bending them slightly to make better contact, and that seemed to help a little more. however, I have still not found the one solution that will make this problem go away! if anyone knows how to fix this, I would love to know.

as for the rest of you, if you're good with electronics, you may be able to take your player apart and look at all the little contacts and solder joints.

Try replacing the head phones with a known good ear phones, then check if it'll work. If it does, it means that you need to replace your head set.

I cant hear the gameplay in the right ear

Have you tried using your X1 with an iPod or MP3 player? Try that, and if you hear sound through both sides of the headset from the MP3 player, then the problem is in the "Stereo Splitter Cable", which can be replaced. But if you only hear sound out of the left ear from the MP3 player, then the headset is probably broken and you should contact Turtle Beach tech support at

Sound only works on one side

Make sure that the earphones are pushed in all the way. If they are not, you can often only hear through one ear.

If I wiggle my ear phones into my MP3 player I can hear music. But, I have to do this all the time when I work out. Can you help?

its cause you need to buy new head phones or theres dirt in the hole where the headphones go. but the reason i think is cause the wires in the headphones is cause there worn out. ;)

Head phone of Ipod

maybe the jack of your headphone is broken. Try with other headphones to see if you hear from the two ears.

Perhaps you can open the player and solder the head socket it may have some dry joints there.
