Question about Philips Magnavox 51MP392H Rear Projection Television
That's a DPTV585 chassis I believe and there are no known common problems with the audio circuit. Does the volume bar still come on-screen when you change the audio level? When you turn it up high is there any faint sound or static noise you can hear? Any possibility it's just muted?
Try unplugging the unit for 15 minutes and plug it back in and see if the audio returns. That will reset the micro in case that's simply latched up and confused over what command(s) it was given. And let me know.
