Re: cursor keeps disappearing

It's not the monitor dude, it's a setting in windows.

If it only disappears when you move it left or right off the edge of the screen, your video software may think you have a second monitor. Tell it different.

Why does the cursor disappears on my gateway nv59c after a minute?

It might be set-up to do so. There is a way of accessing the mouse user options through the control panel.

Mouse pointer disappers

I've seen this happen a couple of times when Word uses the initial preview "Read Mode" or Protected View . Try changing the mode by clicking on the View tab and changing the mode to Print Layout. When it happens to me, that seems to do the trick. If you don't want Word to use the Protected View, go into the Trust Settings for Protected View and uncheck the options in there...this may also keep it from happening in the future...good luck! :-)

if the lines disappear when you put your cursor to the line, its probably the Drivers causing the issue. Please download the latest video driver for your video card and install the same - should resolve the issue (Alt : you could try to change the resolution too)

Try your monitor on a different computer and see if you get the same result, if not, there is a problem with your pc operating system and or video card. If you get the same result, get a new lcd if it is not under warranty.

Sounds like an inverter problem. If the power supply is internal replace the capacitors coming out of the voltage regulators. These are usually 1000mf and/or 470mf. If that doesn't do the trick look up the numbers on the 8-pin chips that drive the secondary transformers on the inverter to see if they are getting the right voltages.
Good Luck!

Mouse cursor moving by itself

In windows xp go into start menu, then into control panel then click on appearance and themes, then move your mouse over to mouse pointers click on it , uncheck "enhance pointer precision, and click apply, that will stop the mouse from acting crazy, this will work with dell mouse pointers and most.
