Cannot playback recorded video

Hi, hope you can help!

I cannot play back my recorded footage - when i switch on in player mode i get the first few seconds and then it automatically switches off with a beeping noise, a little yellow underlined triangle flashing on the screen and C31:23 in the top right hand corner. I dont think its the battery as i've tried the battery on another video and it works perfectly well and is charged.. any ideas what it could be and how i can fix it? (have tried resetting).

would be very grateful to hear from you -

Kind Regards,
Vicki Gontier

Reel sensor is the problem of your camera... sometimes it is a poor connection of the sensor to the socket at the main board..clean the contact of the wiring using a pencil eraser and also check the pitch roller of the mechanical if it is install cause it might be loose at it post cause of the lock has been broken already...

The controls for playback are on the touch screen once the camera is switched from record mode to playback mode, if the camcorder isnt playing back then you might ned to have the unit serviced, could be a bad video head assy. I hope this helps.

Can play video, but can't record

Have you tried to record your channels with the converter switch set to antenna?

In otherwords;
Step 1. With your converter switch set to converter mode select the Direct tv channel you wish to record.
Step 2. With your converter switch set to antenna press the record button on your DVD Recorder.

Step 3. Switch your converter switch to converter mode.

I hope that you find this solution helpful.

Playback STD Locked Playback is Restricted message

the tape most likely has the lock switched on, it's secured so no one can even view it, why it happend, beats me, look at the bottom of the tape, if it has the lock switch, and is pushed up to "lock" push it back down, if  that doesn't work than I'm not sure, sorry.
hope this helped- snowsurfer58

Trying to play off-camera stored video, when replaced onto SD card in camera

Did you change the file name on the original video? Are you able to put the video back onto the camera? If you changed the file name, you can't put it back onto the camera. It also needs to be in AVI format which is the video format that the camera records in.

Hope this helps!

Playing back footage on pc

don't know u're cam, but usualy the camera haz to "close" the dvd sesion, so that the computer/dvd player .... to be able to play it ...

Ofecourse u can play the video on PC, using cd/dvd data recovery software, that accesses the data directly and not track based ... (that in the case that the dvd got damaged and the recorder can't finish it ...)

Sony Camcorder playback problem

mechanical alignment! try to record for a minute and playback the result on another player/recorder, not on your camera, if the playback is not okay then your camera needs alignment, you need pro fix. You said that you've done manual cleaning already, maybe you dis aligned the mechanical parts accidentally, applying too much force on the mechanical parts of your small unit tends to bend, dislocate or move these parts out of alignment. defective videohead will never playback good video, and you said that it seems to correct only a few minutes of playback.
