What filter

DOES IT AGITATE? CHECK THE DOOR SWITCH, THE MOTOR COUPLER, THE BELT, THE CLUTCH WHICH EVER IS APPLICABLE? DIRECT OR BELT DRIVEN?

My washing machine's indicator flashing after 5 minutes,what should i do?

It could be the element or a faulty thermostat.
The only way to be sure is to test them with a meter.

The first problem is that you, like myself, bought this piece of trash. The best way to resolve this problem is not sell it on ebay and never even think about buying Hotpoint again.

I had the dial on the wrong setting sorry to be a pain

This has happend to me today! this is the fix

1. Press and hold the Start/Cancel button until message clears
2. Now press both Start/Cancel and On/Off buttons together until you get a dOFF message
3. now your machine should work OK
