Mar. 2009, in the last few days the message flashes change bulb on the screen, is this something programed into the TV to come on at a certain number of user hours? Also the screen has blue shadows in the corners and a blued dappled shadow across the entire screen, Help

YES, the tech forgot to reset the counter it is in the menu, sorry i don't know exactly where on your model but it should not be hard to find. The blotches are dust in the light engine, this is not fixable unless you replace the light engine. check with a sony authorized repair shop, some of these optics blocks may still be under warranty!! - even if the set is not.
