Question about Fuji FP-988D 19" Flat Panel LCD Monitor

2 Answers

Dark screen My Fuji fp-988d 19in flat panel worked fine for a couple of years.  Now it shows the PC display for one second, then goes black.  The will repeat if I unplug the power and plug it in again.  I am using another monitor, so it's not the PC.  I also tried a different cable to the Fuji monitor.  The power supply light stays green, & it is not hot.

I Have the same exact problem- Same model monitor even. Ive owned the monitor for over three years- and the problem you describeed happened. The computer boots up and i see the screen laod up...for one second before going black ( Green power light stays on and green). Turning it on and off or hitting the auto button will allow you to see it again for a few seconds before the problem reoccurs. Ive read various forums and looked at the some possible answers. It may be the backlight (needs replacing), DVI,AVG,the cord, overheating, the ram. Needless to say these "remedies" and far in between- and i dont have a real answer to help you- You can try these and know that you are one amoung many who have this problem.

I also have the exact same problem, but it isn't anything to do with drivers,
new hardware, etc. as absolutely nothing has changed in the
configuration of the PC it was on. It just started doing it. Plus, it doesn't matter what PC it
is hooked up to, it still goes blank after about 1 second. So MT-EE's solution doesn't work for me. I saw on
another forum somebody had this problem and tried replacing the
inverter board as Fix-4U has suggested, but that didn't help, so I am skeptical of his/her solution (not to mentioned he/she stands to gain by selling a product).

I have the same exact problem with this monitor as well. Troubleshooting tips by MT-EE don't apply as nothing has changed in the configuration of the PC, plus it does the same thing no matter what PC I have it hooked up to - definitely a hardware issue. However, I am skeptical of Fix-4U's solution of buying a new inverter as he stands to gain by selling product. Plus I read on another forum that someone had had this exact same problem with a Gateway monitor and replacing the inverter board did not fix the problem.

How do I change the resolution on my fuji plus FP-988D 19 inch monitor

Monitor resolution is done at the PC, not at the monitor, right click on the desk top, slect properties, display property will come up, select setting. You should set it to match your monitor native resolution for best picture.

Fuji plus monitor

Try your Fujiplus monitor on another pc see if it still have the same problems. If not, then your Macbook it the caused. You say, you replaced a new hard drive? Did you formatted and reinstalled the Mac software? If not, of course you will got a blue light...cuz the new drive had nothing in it.
Good lucks!

LCD screen goes black repeatedly

Have you checked the light on your power supply? My monitor will go black and I noticed the light on my AC power supply was off. It was very hot so I unplugged it and let it cool down. When I plugged it back in my monitor worked fine until the power supply started to over heat again.
