Question about Computers & Internet
I cannot shut off by computer because everytime I do (or if there a power outage) the computer comes on but the monitor just keeps blinking. I can see the desk top for a fraction of a second when it blinks, so I know the computer booted up ok. Usually it blinks for two or three days before it finally comes on. However, its been 4 days since a short power outage and it still won't work. Any idea whats going on?
This might be overly technical, but it sounds like the video card is on the blink (no pun intended). I'd power down the machine, open it up, pull the video card, re-seat it, and power the computer back on.
If it continues to do this, that card is probably toast.
