Question about Kenwood KDC-135 CD Player

In my 1995 Chevy Lumina

Just bought the Kenwood KDC 135, and I can't get it to work with my 1995 95 Chevy Lumina, all the colors are matched into the adapting wiring harness and plugges into the original harness and I get nothin

Check if you're getting power to the red and the yellow, it may be that you are only getting a permanent live but no switched live and if so you will need join the red and yellow on the radio side together using the connectors on the loom so you will have one permanent live leading into two (red and yellow) wires into the radio. clear as mud, good luck

I have a Kenwood KDC 135 car stereo wont un mute.

behind the face plate there is a little recessed reset button. push it using the tip of a pen or similar. that will fully reset the radio to like it was when you bought it.

Some times head units hicup. this is how you reset it. In most error cases this solves the problem.

The easiest way is to purchase an installation kit that is matched to your vehicle, and comes with a pigtail plug that inserts directly in to your existing radio connector, and the pigtail wires match up color for color to your new unit

Kenwood cd player to an 05 jeep - no sound

Hook the Blue/white striped wire to the power antena lead of the jeep (blue) to turn on the factory amp
