Your Maytag washer may vibrate or make some noise during normal operation. If vibration and noise are excessive, however, you'll need to troubleshoot the problem. The two main reasons for such an issue are overloading and nonlevel installation. Overloading can be corrected by putting less clothing into the washer before you run a cycle. It can be corrected mid-cycle by removing clothing articles from the washer mid-cycle. It's also very important that you make sure that your washer is located on a firm, completely level surface. Otherwise it may create severe vibration and noise, possibly even enough to damage the machine or nearby items.
