Install cb in house

make sure you have several 2a fuses with you then hook your red wire to the white wire in your truck then try to make the other one spark by flicking the two together. this is the poor mans way.the proper way way is to have a decent volt meter to check each wire then hook your wires up accordingly. the other is to buy a cigarette light plug and use that. the only dissadvantage is it may pick up a lot of engine noise.If you are not going to be the sole driver of this truck I would go with the cigarette lighter.If you are the owner operator than it would be best to have a cb shop install a plug in for you then you will have no worries, and thats what you want.

95% of realistic mics are 5 pin It would be easier to install it inside the radio.Better than that you buy a noise toy that hooks to the rear of the radio and then your antenna hooks to the toy.

The Fc 390 should have come with directions to install it . I'm sure the installation is the same as the Fc347 which CB tricks has the directions for .

yes. go to any cb store and they will sell you the transformer and the antenna u need to make it work well. J.

You will need a CB radio antenna, The CB radio and mounting hardware as well as the power wire.

Choose a place to mount the radio. Mount it. Run the power wires from the radio to the fuse box. Put red wire in with the fuse that is hooked to switched 12 volt. Ground the black wire to any metal of the vehicle.

Next find a place to mount the antenna. If you use a mag mount, the roof of the cab is a best bet. Run the wire into the vehicle, it can go through the door, just make sure its not going to get pinched.

Hook the coax from the antenna to the radio

Now you have to tune the antenna. this is important because if you don't you you will blow the transmit final transistor out in the radio.

It would be best if you had seperate antennas. You can put a mobile antenna on each radio. Or else you are getting into expensive splitters,etc.

The polarity is reversed. The red power lead must go to +, the black to -. Most trucks are - ground but yours may be the opposite.

Could be the jumper on the back for hooking up external speakers fell out.
