Re: record won't retract

If it isn't making any move to retract the tray it's probably the trip switch. If you look in the back and follow the mechanics under the tone arm you'll see how it closes a switch as the arm goes to the centre of the record. Clean the switch or adjust it.

If it is half returning the tray it is the tray stack all gummed up. Use Servisol Silicon spray or have it rebuilt by someone who knows how.

I have A Wurlitzer OMT 1015 Vinly 45 RPM . Not able to make a selection from buttoms. The LED display does not light up and can not get any credit on the credit buttom. Is this a motherbroad problem?

Check the fuses behind the coverplate of the amp on the left. If it is a K99 it comes off by loosening the two nuts at the top then flexing it and popping the bottom edge off. If it is a Compact amp you can see the fuses.

Record play then same record come out again and plays. This keeps happening. Won't stop or go to another choice

This sounds like a problem with a vinyl machine, not a CD....In either case I can probably help you....Please email me at and I'll email back my phone number.

I have a wurlitzer juke box 1965 and it's clicked off free play, it will only now play one record at a time by keeping pressing the reset button.

The free play switch is only supposed to allow one selection on most Wurlitzers. If you email me the model number, I may be able to advise how to put it on continuous free play. My email address is

Wurlitzer 3600 Jukebox turntable problem

The 3600 has a hub that is supposed to play dinked and undinked records. They had 33rpm and 45 rpm records back then, so to change the record speed the undinked (small hole ) records pushed down the hub flat when it landed on it, which changed the gearing. When a dinked (big hole) record lands on it falls onto the larger part of the hub. So if the hub is down and stuck there that's your problem. After the hub has been pushed flat (because of a small hole record) it is supposed to rise up again when the record is returned to the carousel. Have a look under the turn table and push up the centre rod.

Wurlitzer 3600 series wont select a record ?

If the buttons don't latch in, the machine is not in credit. Put on free play or put some money in.

Wurlitzer 1015 One More Time....Apparently CDs loaded backwards

The correct way to load a OMT is with the labels facing towards you on the right hand side and away from you on the left. (Just make sure it plays them face down.)
If it spins...thinks about it...spins again and puts the CD back you have a laser fault.

Wurlitzer 1800 jukebox, plays record but at end the arm does not lift so record does not reject until I press the reset button and then it works.

If the normal cancel button is working then take a look at the tone arm trip switch, which probably just needs adjusting. You can test this by flicking it with your finger when a record is playing. If it works it just needs adjusting to trip at the right place on the record.
The trip switch is located behind the fat end of the cobra tone arm on the back side of the arch, so you get to it by taking the machine back door off.

Jukebox does have power but lights (except change box light) do not work nor does machine play. Although it is a 1015, it has not been converted to play C/D's. It still plays 45 rpm's.

The Wurlitzer One More Time comes in two types. CD or vinyl. No-one converts them.

What lights do you have on? Do the flourescent lights come on? Is there anything shown in the red LED display in the middle of the mechanism?

Is the machine in freeplay? If it isn't you need to put money in it.

Does the record carousel turn when you press the latch on the edge of the carousel? (It's at 5 oclock).
