Question about HP DeskJet 2000c InkJet Printer
Only in the last couple of days I have had problems printing color docs with my 2000C. If I print a solid green circle, as the paper comes out, the first part is green but the middle part is off color and more blue & faded and then the last part is green. I thought this would mean that I was out or low on yellow ink but I printed my ink levels and all colors are over half full. This problem also happens on different colors that wouldn't indicate a shortage of yellow. I love my printer but I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars for someone to look at it. Should I just go by a new one? If you have any idea about my problem, let me know. Thanks!
I believe you are losing pressure on one or more of the ink pumps located beneath the cartridges. This is normally caused by breakage of "bongo" pad or pads and can have all sorts of strange results when it occurs. Check beneath all your ink cartridges. all 4 white pads should be upright and not flat against the base, and all 4 should feel about the same when pushed down for backward up spring pressure. Visit web site below for much more detailed information about this problem.
I repair HP2000C printers professionally and offer trade in allowance for your old printer.
