Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Lanier LD320d 3rd party company came out to setup the MFP. We took care of the network side. All was working and one day can't print and the printer does not see the dhcp server. Did all the usual trobleshooting. The support company claims that there is and sd type card that stays in the back of the machine that makes it work. I said if that was the case why am I able to copy and fax. I think it's the NIC. I get a solid green light and no activity. They don't want to replace that for free, so they want $1000.00 for a new SD type card. I can not find any help online.

My hp color laserjet cm3530fs mfp black cartrigde is bringing out faint black colour, how do i fix it?

What is the status of your black cartridge? Is it new? used? Real HP cartridge or 3rd party. 3rd party are notorious for poor print quality. I would test a different black cartridge first to eliminate that as the problem. Post back your results and I can provide further guidance.

Is this dymo twin turbo labelwriter enabled to connect wirelessly

You can network the labelwriter using the Dymo Network Print Server device, but this is not wireless.

It is possible to connect using 3rd party print servers, but this can be pretty hit and miss. It's possible you would find a 3rd party wireless print server that would work with a labelwriter, but you may have a problem with the twin model - the dymo print server recognises that there are (effetively) 2 printers in one machine, where-as a many 3rd party servers do not.

So it's possible you could find a wireless server for it but it may not allow you to use both rolls...

Need ssid network name, password also .using netwave base G4(OOE098A46AA2) i am conneting wirelss h/p printer

Good Day,

Your SSID is the name for the Wireless network that you have setup. If you are not sure i would suggest using on your HP hardware Automatic Wireless Configuration this will detect any Wireless Signal in range and show the SSID. The one with the highest signal should be your SSID. If your network is secured, now off course you will need to know the WEP or any other encryption key in order to successfully connect. If you don't have that you are pretty much back at square 1. I would also suggest if this router was provided by an ISP or another 3rd party to review underneath the equipment sometimes this information is posted there SSID & Wireless Security Key. If you are still in need of help and want to get printing right away I recommend contacting Live-Tech. This company will get you all setup for a real low cost. Visit:

Good day, i have a 4730mfp. it does not print colour correctly, the print out appears faded like the printer is out of toner, even after all toners are changed.

First thing to try is this, please go to control panel on the printer and to aministration menu. Scroll down to troubleshooting and find the PQ troubleshooting option and press ok. This will print a series of test prints. If these prints look OK then likely you have an issue with your driver. If they are faded, the second thing you need to do is check to make sure that your firmware revision is current. On the config page that prints with the pages just printed above, look on the upper left for firmware revision. Current version is 46.300.0. Download from here and install following the instruction in the readme file. Did it print OK before changing cartridges? If you installed remanufactured or 3rd party cartridges, the toner will not always provide the same quality of print.

I have replaced the cartridges and the printer is still saying I am out of ink and won't let me print

If you are using third party (ink made by another company) or refilled cartridges then that is most likely the problem.

Lexmark like most other printer companies do not want their products using ink that is not chemically identical to the ink Lexmark uses.

More often than not, OEM (Other Equipment Manufacturers) will damage print heads, cause print quality problems. These issues in turn lead to higher warranty claims. Most companies take the position that this is product tampering and therefore will void a warranty on a printer the issue is related to 3rd. party ink or toner.

IMac connection to lanier ld122

Does this printer have the PS option installed? If not you will be unable to print even if you clear up the network issue.

As far as network goes is it currently connected and working with other PCs?
Mac printing is easily setup by typing the IP address of equip in the queue box upon setup. I believe the default queue name is "print" all lower case. If IP in unable to work properly make sure lanier has appletalk turned on and setup printer using appletalk.

Again if the machine doesn't have Postscript option you won't be able to print anything.

Hope this helps,

Howto add a network printer on Wyse winterm S30 terminal?

The S30 terminal has the CE 5.0 operating system loaded as default. So you are limited by the operating system and not the hardware when it comes to network printing.

Here is a extract of the release notes for Windows CE 5.0:

"In Windows CE, TCP/IP supports network printing through the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol. It does not provide the Windows Line Printer Remote (LPR) Spooler. However, independent software vendors (ISVs) and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can add this support."

In short, you need a 3rd party software program or a (SMB) printer server setup to setup network printing on the S30 terminal..

Wyse also have add-on software to help, if you have CE 5.0 loaded then try the "Thinprint" add-on supplied as a free download by them.

I haven't tried this, so let me know if it works.

Unable to print more than 3 copies of anything

What error if any do you get? Sounds like your printer needs a firmware update.
