mobile is not detected

the operating system aka windows vista doed not recognize my phone at all.
please help..!!!!

well i am facing problems connecting my mobile motorola v3i to my laptop. the driver provided was working well with windows xp. but in vista its not installing and i am unable to connect to the internet

i installed the software given 2 me with phone well. now when i connect the phone to my laptop it does not detect phone. my os is windows xp

Yes I a having the same problem. I load MPT vers. 4.0 and when I connect my phone when prompted it starts to load to a point then it says that my phone cannot be detected. So it promts me to update and then says I am up to date. I have vista ultimate.

I've got the same prblm with my v3i, the phone tools software worked on XP but in vista it doesn't detect the phone.. rest itunes still functions on the same but not the phonetools software

I install the software Motorola Phone Tools version 4.0 then when I go to open it it comes up with Unknown Error. I have windows vista ultimate.

my problem is that i'm unable to connect to the internet, otherwise i'm able to install the motorola usb modem successfully and get everything working except the internet. actually MPT is xp compactible so, to run it in vista u hv to install the MPT in xp compactible mode. To run MPT in xp compactible mode go to help and support and then to RUN PROGRAMES IN THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS.

I have a Motorola V3i phone bought 2 yrs back.After installation, while configuring the phone tools, the phone models are not being displayed on my laptop with Vista Home Premium OS. Even if i update the list from the Internet the same problem exists.
