Problem for Projection Televisions

Generic problem for all Projection Televisions

Quazar 52' blue conversion doesnt move sid...

I have a 52 inch Quazar that I bought about 5 years ago. After cleaning the inside of the TV it started to shut itself off and when it stayed on the picture had a blue line around it. I tried to align the conversion but the blue conversion will only move up and down and not side to side. I was just wondering what is wrong with it and if I could fix it myself or would I have to take it to a repair shjop and how much would they charge. Thank you

its your convergance amps,they have gone yes you can repair yourself if you have soildering iron, the shop will charge you around £100-£150 to do it, where as the amps are only about £15 each. the amps are black boxes with about 18 legs on them ,just look at the part number on them and seach through google to find the cheapest ones
