I have that phone too. Ive had it for a year and it just recently within the past week started doing that too. If I'm typing a text and someone sends one while I'm typing it turns off. I hate it. But unfortunately I don't know how to fix it. I bought a VX9400 instead. but the camera doesn't work..

any verizon phone should be able to be activated.
try this-
1. turn phone on
2. call *228
3. follow the instruction to automated activation system.

verizon has given me alot of **** about activating any new (or old) phone i've gotten because i dont upgrade my service. i just buy my phones off ebay for a way cheaper price.

replace the battery it will no longer take a charge. it has enough power in battery to turn on but not to function. a new battery will solve your problem.

"use genuine battery" message

Because you are using a battery with more mAH your phone is not getting it. Have you got the same from LG, if so ask them for compatible battery. If not don't try such things. Better you get two batteries of lower mAH.
