Question about Toshiba TP50H95 50" Rear Projection Television
I want to replace the convergence IC's on a TP50H95 toshiba rear projection tv. Their part numbers are STK392-110. I want to make sure that there isn't a possibility of getting shocked. The set has been unplugged for about a month. How do I discharge stored voltage so that I may disassemble the tv for desoldering the IC chips?
You take a long screw driver and a jumper wire to ground and touch any metal on the Red HV wire.
besure to check the resisters other wise it will blow the IC again.
i would also use stk392-180's
