Oven doesn't reach temperature setting

I've double wall ovens. The top oven won't reach heat setting. I noticed the lower element doesn't get warm at all, but the hot ones seems to be acting normal. I removed the element and put it in the other oven and it works fine. So the element is fine. Is it a wiring issue?

It could be the plug/receptacle that the element plugs into. It could also be that the elements have separate thermostats and that the one for the lower element is bad. If you can post the model number I can look at the electrical schematic and know for sure if it has one or two thermostats.

I found the wiring diagram online. There is only one thermostat, but the top and bottom heating elements should never work at the same time. Is there any chance that the top oven (that isn't working right) is selected to "BROIL"?

I have a Frigidaire oven that's does not heat up to high temp.

If your Frigidaire oven is not heating up to the high temperature, there could be a few possible causes:
  1. The thermostat may be malfunctioning: The thermostat controls the temperature of the oven and if it's not working correctly, it could prevent the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  2. The heating element may be malfunctioning: If the heating element is not working properly, the oven may not be able to reach the high temperature.
  3. The control board may be malfunctioning: If the control board is not functioning properly, it may not be sending the correct signals to the heating element or thermostat, preventing the oven from reaching the high temperature.
  4. The oven may be in a cleaning or self-cleaning cycle: when the oven is in a cleaning cycle, the temperature is raised to a high level to clean the interior of the oven.
  5. The oven may be in a energy saver mode: some ovens have a energy saver mode that decrease the temperature by a certain degree to save energy.

Frigidaire PLEB30T8CCB Double wall oven - heating to temp, but not maintaining.

Your wiring diagram and parts schematics are here in the link below. Normally the bottom element does glow read hot after a couple of minutes. Broil elements last a lot longer because they aren't used as much. There is only one Control Board. If I was guessing, I would say the temperature sensor is at fault. Elements either work, or they don't, but you can easily test continuity with a meter. Many parts are discontinued.

I have GE model#JKP45WOP2WG double oven wall unit. Lower oven isn't heating up properly. Bottom of lower oven doesn't seem as hot as the top of the oven... replaced oven sensor, not

Most double wall ovens are technically two separate oven boxes. The lower oven box has its bake, boil elements, high limit thermostat and ofcourse its own oven sensor. If the lower oven box boil is working good and less heat on bake feature may suggest that the bake element is burned out and only getting preheated with boil element. Just a suggestion here

Early 1960's Frigidaire 24" Double wall oven not heating

Hello Chris Hammond, thanks for your post!

Based off the information you have provided it sounds like a potential problem with your connector for your element within your Frigidaire wall oven. I would recommend reaching out to a professional technician for proper diagnosis repair to help avoid any unnecessary part purchases. Best of luck! -Matt

Stoves 720ef top oven warms but does not reach high temps. element replaced - no fix. thermostat ok as heating light cycles on and off at around 120 deg C, but reluctant to get hotter.

Have the same problem. Went and bought an oven thermometer from Lakeland and found that when the top oven thermostat was set to 160, the temperature only got to 140. I did clean the sensor inside the oven using a cleaner from Lakeland which did improve matters but it is still running cooler that it should. ( It takes at least 20 to 30 mins to warm up)
