So you pressed the button & turned your dishwasher off during the Cycle, to put something in, or take something out, and now it' wont do anything? Well you see, with your dishwasher you mustneverswitch it off mid cycle to open door. You must simply just open the door, or will flood, and then mysteriously shut down. and lock up. Now when and if this happens, the way to fix this, is to lean the Dishwasher over backwards, side to side, tip it over at up to a 45 degree, angle to reset the Flood Switch.
take small flat head screwdriver and on the door were the latch is push the screwdriver in about an inchpull on the open handle at the same time ps unplug it first.
Hi there Bushx, sound to me like the door latch is in the closed position. you should be able to feed something into the catch and pull it back out to the open position. Please let me know if this helps regards Gary
Most dishwashers either have a latch located at the top that you must slide to the right, or have a mechanism that should lock it anytime the door is closed. Look at the top of the dishwasher door, if it's just a handle then it has the mechanism. Look at the handle for the door. There should be a lever within the handle that disengages the latch. There could be something broken within the door mechanism. You should see the catch on top of the door and receiver on the underside of the top portion of the dishwasher housing.
are you sure it is the board at fault, not justv the door catch? (as the door wont open). If the dishwasher believes it has just finished a cycle and the door has not yet been opened it will not let you change the program.
I had this same problem so I hooked an allen key around the back of the white door catch and pulled it into the unlocked position with a pair of pliers. Has worked fine since but every now and then the catch will pop back into the locked position when the door is opened.
either the latch thats on the door is bad,,or the catch on the tub is out of line,,,now if the dishwasher door drops hard and wont stay up ..you need new door spring and the weight makes it pop[ open..
The door will not lock/close. But, if i keep holding it, it locks. what do i do?
