Question about Genius NewSketch 1212HR (K9436401)

Genius NewSketch 1212 II wont work!!

Hi, Ive just got an old NewSketch tablet and want tu use it. I downloaded drivers and installed them as per the instructions. It still wont work!

Any i deas what i can try? The driver was meant for win 98 and im using 2000.

You need to configure Com1. Go to Device Manager/Com ports and configure it as 9600, Odd and 1. The default is no parity and that won't work. Dip switch setting 3 on the tablet gives the hint.

If you have Windows 7 Professional or Ultimate you can install XP mode and Windows Virtual PC on top of Windows 7 and run XP mode.Install the drivers on XP mode and you should be able to use your tablet.

I have a genius wizard pen 4 x 3, about 5 years old. Can it work with a new computer that has windows 7, 64 bit?

I have the same problem with Genius Sketch 1212HR II

I tried to look for your solution but at present i can only tell that it can work with windows NT as an operating system but if you wish me to dig in deep give me another 12 hrs will deffinetly give you a solution. If you don't wish to change your OS and kindly don't throw it keep it till i raise my hands up.

1. Go to: Click on "Service & Support"3. Click on "User's Manual"4. Click on the tab labelled "Tablet"5. Find your tablet model on the page.6. Click on the appropriate language listed opposite to your tablet's model. The download of your tablet's user manual will start.

Power adapter

Hello ditechirq.

I got the same tablet, but I search to use it on Win XP.
I't seem's that is no XP driver for this product, and the Pc tell's me that the tablet is not found (rs232)...

For the question, the adaptor output is 5V, 350mA, positive is the center pin of the connector on the sub-d9.

1212hr power supply

The device runs on 5 VDC. There was an optional adapter available that used the keyboard output, that simply tapped the GND & +5 VDC. On the jack, the interior is +5, the outer contact is GND. The easiest way to power the device is to tap into a free line from your computer power supply. Alternatively, a transformer with 5 VDC 100 mA output should do the trick.

Lost ac adoptor

first you have to choose how much the adaptor capability(ex:15v ) and then have a convertor and set it to what you required.
