Question about Mitsubishi WD-57732 Projection Television

1 Answer

Pictures "dims" for a split second

I have a Mitsubishi WD 57731 DLP TV that I have had for 17 months. It has been working fine but a month ago developed a problem where the picture will dim very slightly for less than a split second like a quick flicker in britness This happens intermittently. Sometimes it has to be on for awhile before it starts and sometimes it happens right away. It will do this about every 10 minutes or so.
Has anyone had this problem or know what it might be?
Thanks

I have not replaced the bulb. I did talk with Missubishi and they said that they did not think it was the bulb. They said if it was the bulb the picture would just get dimmer, that it would not dim for a split second and then be normal. Obviously, I have no idea. Maybe I need to replace the bulb and see what happens.

    Thanks

My Mitsubishi DLP wd-57731 has a green hue in dark scenes where there is little light. I replaced the bulb about 4 to 5 months ago. What could be the cause? Thanks.

It sounds like you might need a new light engine, make sure the lamp is the original replacement, if it is then you are in for major and pricey repair, close to $1000 good luck, Julio at Millenium TV (702) 736-1091 milleniumtvsvc@gmail.com

Mitsu 57731 problems have wide bar across screen

This is an ongoing problem with Mitsubishi DLP HDTV's contact the Customer Service at 1-800-332-211. Tell them this has been going on for a while and you want the TV either Fixed or Replaced. Ask for Adrianne Hardt, she is a Customer Service Manager...... TELL HER RICK GRIFFITH told you to call.

I am in the 4th week negociations with Mitsubishi over these exact problems. I purchased my 57" DLP HDTV in Aug of 06. Replaced the Lamp 3 times and have had 5 Service calls. I DO NOT have and extended Warranty. Mitsubishi provided me with the extention in writing and stated if any problem occurred again they would replace the Unit or provided monetary compensation.

Good Luck and be persistant.

That problem with the "AIRFLOW Blocked" is now covered by Mitsubishi (parts & labor) Contact a good repair shop and they should fix it free. I had that same problem the tech came out and fixed it in about 30min.
