I have borrowed my mums sabre 3350 chain saw, she has not used it, my late step dad did. there is a petrol and seperate oil chamber, what sort of petrol and oil is needed, does the petrol have to be mixed with oil??
The best thing to do is see if your Mom has the operators manual. If not, the best thing I can do is guess. Most chainsaws are two cycle. This means that fuel and oil has to be mixed. There is a formula that you can find on line depending on what ratio is needed. The other chamber that says oil on it is the tank for the Bar Oil. That is the oil that lubricates the bar and chain as the machine is running. You should get some oil that is formulated just for bar lube. Do mix fuel and oil, do put in bar oil...Good luck...Lee
