Try to start up in Safe mode - usually by pressing F8 continuously during start up.
If that works - run any antivirus, malware and registry cleaning programs you have. If you don't have any - you can reboot in safe mode with networking and download some - irecommend malwarebytes amongst others.
If still a problem - it is possible a driver/service error - gor to MSCONFIG /STARTUP - disable all the start up programs. Try to reboot - if ok - enable startup programs one at a time to isolate the bad one. Uninstall that program. Once everything is working ok - you could try reinstalling again. Check for updates.

After I accidentally yanked the headset connection on my Acer Aspire 9410 the souns doesn't work anymore. I suppose I broke a connection. How do I open the case to make repairs.
