I just purchased a Logitech QuickCam Pro for Notebooks (2.0 megapic) and I can not get it to work with Yahoo Messenger. I loaded the QuickCam v11.0 software provided. It works on my HP Pentium Computer. When I log on to Yahoo Messenger it says the video is broadcasting, but the screen is blank. I went to preferences in Yahoo Messenger to make sure it was iding my webcam, all seams well. Is Logitech not compatible with Yahoo Messenger
Bob P, I have Logitech Quick Cam STX not exactly what you have but I think close. I got it to work with Messenger. I have made it through the installation. Not sure what I did to make it work. I would assume it can be done. If you think it would help to compare our settings some how or for me to help in some other way please let me know. I will be online lots during the day next week as I am not working next week.

Logitech Audio Tuning Wizard ???? I have this webcam - The settings I have made in 'Settings' ( 2 gearwheels) on the Logitech toolbar are:_ Default mic = 'microphone 2 - logitech notebook' Volume adjustment - midway Suppress background noise - box checked
In addition my audio settings for yahoo messenger:- Laptop x webcam/mic x Vista x Yahoo Messenger If you have an earlier OS, you may have to access your hardware from the Control Panel.
TEST SPEAKERS Right click on speaker icon in System Tray Select "Playback Devices" The speaker icon ( checked as working) and volume level graph should be visible Right click on the volume graph and click "Test" Left hand speakers followed by right hand should be heard
SET DEFAULT & TEST MIC Click "Recording" tab. To set required mic as default - click on mic font to highlight and click "Properties" In lower dropbox display "Use this device enable" click OK Click "Levels" tab and ramp up sliders ( adjust to suit later) Return to "Recording". Test mic by speaking and make sure volume graph displays Restart computer CONFIGURE TO MESSENGER
Open messenger - on top toolbar. Left click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Connection - Select 'no proxies' or 'connect direct to the internet' depending on the version of messenger you have make sure your internet connection and country are correct in the lower two boxes > Apply > OK
Click ( > ) Messenger > Preferences > Calling and Audio Set mic and speakers to show Default equipment Run call up assistant to test audio equipment > Apply > OK
Check your camera in the QuickCam software. If your camera works properly in the QuickCam software, then this issue is specific to Yahoo Messenger. Make sure you have the correct version of the Messenger installed for your OS. Also make sure that the camera driver is the correct driver for your OS.
If the issue persists, then I'm afraid you'll have to contact Yahoo Messenger support for a resolution.
