i have the exact same problem with these tables, got them used with a really nice mixer - dxm06, one works great, other spins in reverse at unreasonable speed, the start/stop does work, its just that it takes so long to slow down because the intense reverse speed, did the new motor correct the issue?

These motors are quite cheap. You can open it up yourself and see if any resistors are burned up. If not, contact numark parts dept and order new motor. quite easy to install.

HELP: Stopped spinning

It's likely the belt has slipped of and probably needs replacing. You can do this yourself. It will be found under the turntable matt. The trick though is fitting it back on. But you might find the instructions on-line (enter the model number into google search). Some people have even put YouTube video's on how to replace the belt on popular turntables.

Technics Sl-1210 MkII spins backwards

As the turntable was hit hard then an internal inspection should be done to look for signs of phyical damage. It could be anything from broken parts to bad soldering or a crack on the PC board. I rather suspect it should be obvious what got damaged when you look inside.

Pioneer cdj 800 mk2 playing mp3s, jogwheel & screen dont work

More than likely the contact pad (aka Membrane pad) is probably damaged... or the flat cable which connects to the main processor, might be loose, or damaged.

You'll need to get this professionally checked out by a qualified technician. It's not an easy fix.

Platter spins very slowly

Well hope fully its something small. check your pitch control first make sure its not set at a slow speed. then check your start stop knobs at the bottom of the table. roll them one way then start it see if that works, then the other way... if its not that then its possibly its a malfunction ,, Numark with there new awesome products but sometimes faulty that turntable wigs out goin slow then normal then slow ect... If its less then a year send it in it is coverd by warrantee

Turntable spinning backwards

If it is a direct drive TT then it uses some electronic circuitry to control speed and it sounds like that circuit is having a problem. Possibly the actual driver IC for the TT motor has gone bad. Good luck.
