Calcuation of pitch of the screw and least count?

the pitch of a screw is the distance the thread moves in one complete revolution . OR in the sae measuring system the number of threads (points) in one inch. So if you have a half inch dia bolt and you count the number of threads in one inch along the bolt and you had 20 threads then the pitch would be 20 threads per inch or in metric it is measured as the distance between the points so if the distance between the thread points was 1mm the bolt would be measured as the dia. (say 12 mm) by the distance between the points of 1mm or 12x1.5

Fiberglass/Mesh Tape Mythe

I've heard people say many times, " When I finished the drywall on my room addition, I used Mesh Tape

on my seams and inside corners". Well, I would strongly recommend that you use Paper Tape instead:

along with All-Purpose Compound:

Even though Fiberglass/Mesh Tape is much easier to apply than Paper Tape, you should not use it because it has a greater tendency to crack when applied to New Drywall seams; unless you use Easy Sand 45, 90, or 220.'0''p_product_quantity_sold'1&pl=1&currentURL=%2Fpl_SHEETROCK%2BBrand_4294864808%2B4294851233_4294937087_%3FNs%3Dp_product_prd_lis_ord_nbr'0''p_product_quantity_sold'1

The different numbers ( 45, 90, 220) indicate the amount of time, ( in minutes), that you have to work with this material before it starts setting up on you. TIP: I would not recommend this material if you are a beginner! The consistency of this material varies as time goes on, becoming thicker and thicker.

Mesh Tape is good for many other uses though. Such as, a fracture in the drywall, patching around electrical boxes, applying to corner bead as a strengthening material, or removing old tape and re-taping old rough seams in a rehab house.

Good Luck!

Life time guarantee hand tools... at 75 percent less than retail chains.

This "tip" is regarding tools.. those that the average home owner may need to do home repair or home improvement jobs....

Consider Harbor Freight as a tool source. Since most tools and 90 percent of electronics are coming from China, you may as well avoid the middle man and buy from a whole sale outfit. None of the products sold by Harbor Freight is "first class". But MOST of them are adequate for typical home handy men (or women).

Expect to save between 50 and 70% on tools....and if you wait for sales, you can save MORE. I am a handyman and have been using their tools for about 4 years and I am fairly happy with the items that I have purchased.... I suspect that you will be too!

How do i change the assesories that come with dremil how do i use the hand held dremil??

If you have the standard dremel tool ther is a small bar sticking out at the collet end of tool. This is a locking rod to hold motor shaft in place so you can loosen coollet nut. Put pressure on thebar and slowly rotate the shaft until the bar drops in place. There should be a small open end wrench that comes with your tool to loosen nut. If not use asmall wrench to loosen nut.Turn it counter clock wise to loosen. It is not needed to take the nut all the way off. You may have to move tool slighyly to get it to come out.
The tool that you use is determined by what job you are trying to do.Most come with abrasive cut off wheels small grinders, sanders, and polishers. To secure new tool in collet just insert tool shaft in collet and tighten down. When it gets snug then Depress locking bar to finish tightening. Hope this helps you some. Thank you.

The saw will start for a good 2 min then it will stop. i didnt have this problem yestarday. Now the disk wont move. it will move sometimes but not all the time. Plus it stays in a constant speed if it does...

Sounds like there is something seriously wrong with either the switch, motor and gear assembly. Take it to a reputable repairer. Get a three quotes before you decide who's the best qualified to fix it.
Good Luck

Ryobi 18 volt batteries wont hold a charge

Ryobi batteries are specific to each Ryobi model, so please write down which model number or the original battery part number you have. How old are the batteries?
I had the same problem with many bateries I had at home, like cell-phone batteries and also some power tool bateries. Did not have any Ryobi power tools tho, so don't hold me acountable if this doesn't apply to your hardware:)
Many batteries have the "memory effect" which means that if the battery was not completely empty when it was set to recharge it might now only recharge to the level it was emptied to, so for instance if you used the power tool for 10 mins and the battery emptied to, lets say, 90% capacity, it might occure that the next time you recharge the battery it will only charge to it's 90% maximum...doing that many times lowers the maximum recharge capacity. As I heard the new Li-Ion batteries do not have this problem.
I hope this makes some sence as my english is not that good and it was a bit hard explaining my thoughts:)

Nail Gun how to

One of the factors used to designate compressor power is motor horsepower. However, this isn't the best indicator. You really need to know the amount of air the compressor can deliver at a specific pressure. The rate at which a compressor can deliver a volume of air is noted in cubic feet per minute (cfm). Because atmospheric pressure plays a role in how fast air moves into the cylinder, cfm will vary with atmospheric pressure. It also varies with the temperature and humidity of the air. To set an even playing field, makers calculate standard cubic feet per minute (scfm) as cfm at sea level with 68 degrees F air at 36% relative humidity. Scfm ratings are given at a specific pressure–3.0 scfm at 90 psi, for example. If you reduce pressure, scfm goes up, and vice versa. You also may run across a rating called displacement cfm. This figure is the product of cylinder displacement and motor rpm. In comparison with scfm, it provides an index of compressor pump efficiency. The cfm and psi ratings are important because they indicate the tools that a particular compressor can drive. When choosing a compressor, make sure it can supply the amount of air and the pressure that your tools need.
