Either the motor has gone out, the transmission has locked up or if it is a direct drive system there could be something in the pump that is binding the motor preventing it from turning therefore causing it to over heat giving you the electrical smell.

during washing and rinsing when a motor restriction is sensed, the motor stops and then proceeds

to the next waterflow action. if the motor stops working and this happens in one direction 10 times,

the error code 3e will be displayed.you should be able to clear the error code by turning your washer

off and on. or powering it down and then powering it back up. good luck!

If data of hall sensor is less than 2 (2RPM), the Washing motor will stop at once.

During dehydrating. when a motor restriction is sensed. the motor stops working and then returns to the initial stage of the dehydration unbalance sensing cycle. After ten times, "3E" Error is displayed, When the motor Is told to stop because of an operating function. no error is shown.

Power 81W OFF can clear the motor restriction error.

Sounds like the motor went out. Before trying to start it it needs to be inspected. If you are not comfortable opening up the cabinet then I would would recommend calling a service tech. If you need further assistance please let me know.

Well the error code 3E means that the overcurrent is detected at the moter.

3E = Drive system is not working correctly. Bad windings, speed sensor, wiring connections or Control Board.

I have a GEW9200LW0 whirlpool dryer, that displays 3E when I try and start the dryer. nothing happens,All i get is the 3E code.
