Question about Toshiba Satellite P105-S6024 Notebook
PC CHIPS A530 TM5600
Power failed, no charging, adapter fine.
Cannot open cade
To Guest, who cannot start computer for longer that 3 secs, i have experienced this prob. myself. Actually it was not my laptop, but they came to me with this problem. Apparently the last time the laptop worked, the screen suddenly turned pink and then shut down. It would not boot for longer than a few seconds before shutting down again. I opened the laptop and removed the motherboard to find that soda had been spilled in two areas. One area of gunk was around the back of the ram, and the rest was throughout the 4 pins that connect the power cable to the motherboard. using some hot water/rubbing alcohol, and some q-tips, it fired up just fine!

Maybe one of the memory chips is bad or one of the slots is bad.
Remove the Power Cord, Open the Case and remove one of the memory chips. Set the chip aside then try rebooting the computer. If it boots, then you know the memory chip you set aside is bad so mark an x on it with an ink pen. If it fails to boot then move the chip to the next memory slot and try rebooting. If it fails take the chip out and set it aside, then put the other chip in and try booting it in both slots. If it boots, just to verify that the chip set aside is bad, mark an x on it and put it into the open memory chip slot and try booting.
