Hoover condenser hdc 6

When the dryer is loaded with 3 or 4 towels or has got linen in sometimes the dryer won`t turn and the back of the drum glows red and won`t work for about an hour. When this happens the dryer has to be left for an hour and some of the washing has to be taken out before it works again, also the dryer is louder when working but it was quiet when it was purchased.

We have had this problem constantly recently, the only way we can get the machine to start is to reach into the drum and spin it by Hand before swiftly closing the door and hitting start!! The momentun of the "manual spin" helps the dryer burst into life. Otherwise the dryer just glows red from the rear of the drum and smells of burning. Either that or half the load to a couple of towels at most, not very efficient.

The "Filter Clean" light elimunates even though the filter and condensor have been cleaned!! Help.

My dryer has a build up of water and give an F03 error. What can do to fix it?

have owned the same dryer for about a year and just started having this F03 problem. The condensation drain hose is the soft flexible rubber hose coming out of the back of the dryer and it drains into the same drain as a washer. It's easy to pull the hose off its connector at the back of the dryer and just blow hard into it to make sure there's no lint clogging the hose and reconnect it to the dryer. Next open the panel on the left of the dryer and thoroughly rinse (water only, no soap) clean the two parts behind the door (first is plastic and behind that is the condensation filter which probably is loaded with lint). Sometimes the lint in the condensation filter channels (those that run from front to back) can be quite stuck. Use a long pipe cleaner to get in there or a garden hose with a spray nozzle. Shake the excess water out of the condensation filter and dry off the outsides of two parts. Clean all the lint out the compartment where the parts go. There is one more crucial step not mentioned in the manual. Once you remove the condensation filter you will see a small plastic panel on the lower wall of the condensation filter slot. Slide a flat blade screwdriver or a blunt table knife under the panel and gently pop it open. Under the panel is a small chamber that you can't see very well where you will find a slurry of lint/water which is what clogs the condensation outlet. With latex gloves reach in there and clean it out. Use paper towel to get it all out. Blow hard into the dryer through the condensation hose to clear up any last bits. Pop the panel back in place as well as the condensation filter and the plastic part. Take out the lint filter (within the dryer drum compartment) and wash it with soap and water. Use an old toothbrush or something to clean the screens thoroughly. Rinse well and dry it completely. Clean all the lint out of the empty compartment. Put all three parts back into the dryer. Clean all lint off the door. Using paper towel moistened with white vinegar clean the two metal sensors in drum compartment on the front wall and lower left. Run the dryer empty but with heat on for a few minutes to make sure all the water is drained out. Now try drying a load. I think it's a good idea to rinse clean the condensation filter at least once a month since it collects a lot of lint. Hope this works for you.

How to access belt on a hoover performance plus drier 6kg weight load model number ppv 160-180

ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket with pulley, and motor with pulley.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum not to turn.
While you have the drum out, I would also recommend that you lubricate the drum rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3 in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise. You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.
Good luck,
I hope this helps

Hoover Maxi 6 TC50 Tumble Dryer making squealing noise

Have you fixed this problem? I also have a Hoover condenser dryer, only a few months old, and has started to make a squeal/whistle. I'm thinking it might be the front fan needing some WD40, OR too much water vapour around the belt that moves the drum causing the sounds.

If it's the fan, lubricating the shaft and its components should fix the problem, if a wet fan then I'd think maybe fully cleaning the condenser filter, reservoir ect will fix the problem.

The problem seems to go away though "mostly" 15 or so minutes after you start the dryer, so that makes me think ones it gets warm something is expanding to allow more "give" so maybe the belt.

A Squeak

Hi.
Could be dry drum bearing or jockey pulley dearing. take the rear cveroff the back of the dryer, and you will see the rear drumshaft and bearing.
Squirt some wd40 on the bearing, hopefully.this will cure the squeak.

My Hoover TC650 condensor dryer has a fault. When turned on it makes a noise (buzz) but the drum does not revolve. If I turn it by hand and then quickly close the door and press the button it will...

i saw your question and never worked on a hoover dryer so i checked it out go here to see video
https://www.how-to-repair.com/help/hoover-candy-tumble-dryer-drum-not-turning-and-belt-ok-faulty-capacitor/
i have to tell you on all the dryers i've ever worked on they never had a cap in them, only washers,on a dryer that isn't a condenser dryer if you get the dreaded buzzing sound and start it like you did, open the door, hold in the door switch and spin the drum with your other hand while someone else pushes in the start button and it would start it would be the motor,i've seen a condenser dryer and the problem always was with the filter, people that had just bought one didn't know you had to clean out the filter box, never took one apart,i saw that nobody answered you so i hope this video helps you out and i learned that condenser dryers have a cap in them.
