Continuously searching for input. have changed both vga boxes and cables.

I would go into the menu of the projector and turn off the auto source search function and set it to the VGA input. If you have tried your FN and 'F' keys simultaneously to send the signal through the VGA port and still have nothing, you may have a faulty video card.

Good luck, hope I was of help

What cable or adapter do I need to connect my projector to a MacBook video out port?

You will need a Mini-DVI to VGA adapter. Apple sells this item through their online store.
You will also need a male to male VGA cable to attach the adapter to the projector.
You can find modestly priced cables at monoprice or other retailers. example:
Plug the cable into your projector and then plug the adapter into your MacBook. The MacBook will automatically resize your picture to the appropriate resolution for the projector.

What cable to i need to connect my InFocus projector to my lenova laptop?

Most laptops and projectors have VGA ports. So a monitor cable (not an extension cable) is needed; this is a cable with two male HD15 ends. The projector above has the following input available: Mini D-Sub 15 (Analog) (VGA), Component, and S-Video. If your laptop has DVI or HDMI you will need an adapter to go to the VGA.

I hope this helps.

When I plu-in the VGA cable my screen goes blank on my HP-1170. I then have to reboot to fix video on laptop. Done all the resolutions and I cant seem to get the external projector to show anything other...

reset the settings to factory default through the menu. swap out the cable. depending on your laptop, press function-f4 or function-f7. if still nothing, you may have a main board issue.

Problem hooking my macbook to the Powerlite 62c/82c the projector

For these types of projectors if you're planning to hook it up using you MacBook ;

You will need a converter ( from VGA to DVI )
Using the VGA cable that came with the unit when purchased ;

Connect the VGA cable on the back of the Projector and on the other of the cable you will connect the converter ( VGA TO DVI ) since for MAC systems it has DVI ports for monitors not VGA...

You can purchase the converter at any Mac store or any computer shop near you..

Should you opt for a replacement, you may want to consider DVI to VGA Analog Video Cable or similar products.

Alternately, you can use a converter box that will accept VGA inputs but whose output is DVI-D compatible. A fine example is VGA to DVI Converter/Scaler but of course any comparable brand/model should also work.

Hope that these be of help/idea. Pls post back how things work out or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.

3M S151 Projector for the classroom

You will need to have a dvi to vga converter. If you have a Macbook, it is a mini dvi to vga. You can get this adapter direct from Apple for about $20. A wireless connection is not available with this model projector.
