Continuing challenges with 3M S151 projector

This is the next problem to my already posted problem:
I already had the mini-dvi to vga cable with my laptop so that isn't the problem. The challenge is that the end that is supposed to fit into the projector does not match either of the ports. Now what? There must be some kind of adaptor but I can't information on it anywhere.
help, please...

I am trying to connect my apple macbook to a dell projector.

you'll need the appropriate adapter from the video out on your macbook to whatever input on your projector.

For instance, I use a mini-dvi to VGA adapter and VGA cable into my projector.

How do i hook my samsung spl300 projector to my mac book pro

You can connect your Projector with the Mac Book Pro; However the problem is, mac comes with a DVI connector and your projector uses a VGA one.
You need to buy a DVI to VGA adapter from Apple if you don't have one already. You can buy it from the local apple stores or an online apple store.
There are two types of DVI-VGA adapters available (Please check the below images and see which one fits your Mac and go for it). Apple DVI to VGA Display Adapter
Apple Mini DVI to VGA Adapter Once you decided which one you need, go to an apple store or online apple shop and buy one.
Hope This helps.best regardsNextDoorNerd

What cable to i need to connect my InFocus projector to my lenova laptop?

Most laptops and projectors have VGA ports. So a monitor cable (not an extension cable) is needed; this is a cable with two male HD15 ends. The projector above has the following input available: Mini D-Sub 15 (Analog) (VGA), Component, and S-Video. If your laptop has DVI or HDMI you will need an adapter to go to the VGA.

I hope this helps.

Macbooks are equipped with a mini-dvi port this is what you will utilize to send a video signal to your projector first thing you need to figure out is what input is on you projector either it is dvi or vga then go to best buy and get a mini dvi to vga adapter it is only for macs let me know how it comes out

Connecting Macbook with a compaq MP1400 digital projector

You're going to need a conversion dongle that goes from the Mini-DVI to VGA.

Then:
  1. Connect one end of the projector signal cable to the Video Graphics Array (VGA) connector on the projector.
  2. Connect the other end of the projector signal cable to the Digital Video Interface (DVI) connector or VGA connector on the notebook computer and tighten the screws.
  3. Connect the projector power cord to the power cord connector on the projector.
  4. Connect the other end of the power cord to an electrical outlet that is easily accessible and close to the projector.
  5. Turn on the projector first, then turn on the computer.

Hi,

Based on your post/description, I will assume that you would want to connect a PC to a Projector.

Should you opt for a replacement, you may want to consider DVI to VGA Analog Video Cable or similar products.

Alternately, you can use a converter box that will accept VGA inputs but whose output is DVI-D compatible. A fine example is VGA to DVI Converter/Scaler but of course any comparable brand/model should also work.

Hope that these be of help/idea. Pls post back how things work out or should you need further information.

Good luck and kind regards.

You will need to have a dvi to vga converter. If you have a Macbook, it is a mini dvi to vga. You can get this adapter direct from Apple for about $20. A wireless connection is not available with this model projector.
