Check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

Freezer side not freezing

Check for ice / frosting inside the freezer .... If present you probably have a defrost problem.... This causes the freezer coil to ice up and block the air flow ... the causes could be a bad defrost heater , defrost timer, defrost sensors, or control board. Also make sure that the condenser coil is clean. remove ALL dust with a vacuum and a coil brush .the coil is located either on the bottom or on the back side of the unit... Hi, my GE refrigerator has ice developing on the rear wall of the freezer, and things in my crisper drawer are freezing solid, please help!!!!

Unplug refrig. Empty all food from freezer side and remove shelves from freezer. Remove back metal cover from inside freezer. Melt frost with a hair blower. Examine defrost heater at very bottom of the coils you defrosted. If heater coil inside glass tube is broken, replace defrost heater. (note: replacement may look different, but insturctions included with replacement address that) If heater is not broken, replace the small white pencil shapped sensor at the top of the cooling coils.

The freezer saection is freezing up causing the refridgerator to get warm, I defrost and this works for 2 weeks. What would you look for?

remove the rear panel inside the freezer in there will be the evaporator coil,if its covered in a layer of solid ice then defrost it with a hand held hair dryer, then with the power shut off to the unit unplug the defrost heater underneath the coil and test for continuity,if this checks good then test the defrost thermostat on the top of the evaporator coil, you will need to put this on a piece of ice or cool it to below to make the contacts touch otherwise it will show open(bad) if this shows good(closed),then check for 120 volts a.c. on this circuit when is in defrost mode

I left my freezer door open by accident on a beko cda540w fridge freezer freezer defrosted now when i turn the fridge back on it does not seem to freeze and the fridge stays warm i can here the fridge...

you may need to manually defrost the evaporator coil. If condensation built up from the door being left open, it may have frozen the coil solid. At that point even the evaporator defrost bar won't be able to remove the ice. Remove the cover, if it is frozen solid, unplug the unit and use a hair dryer to defrost the ice.

Freezer not freezing

If freezer is icing up, you might have a defrost problem. Frost free models have a heating element that is controlled by a timer to automatically defrost ice, defrost timer turns on defrost heating element every 12 hours to melt ice in freezer and allow good air flow.
You can test defrost element with an ohm meter(located inside freezer coils-will have two wires going to a plug connection), if OK replace defrost timer (located in various places depending on make and model

Samsung fridge RS2545SH every 7 days freezes fridge coil.

Hey how yo doing? on most refriderator there are two important parts to keeping freezer from freezing over, they are the bimetal thermostat and ice pipe heater. The bimetal therostat is a preset thermostat that ranges from 54degrees farenheit to about 60, when the coils (inside the freezer compartment behind the back panel) reach the preset temp. it closes a circuit and send electricity to the ice pipe heater, to warm the freezer coils preventing from freezing over. if any one of those components fail, your freezer will continue to freeze solid until there is no more space for ice to build on coils decreasing air flow from the evaporator fan blowing air into your fridge. To test you will minor knowledge on using a multimeter.(REMEBER TO UNPLUG REFRIDGERATOR BEFORE SERVICING, IF YOU UNCOMFORTABLE WORKING ON APPLIANCE PLEASE CONTACT A PROFFESIONAL REPAIR SERVICE..) If you'd like to continue please respond.
GOOD LUCK, WORK SAFELY..
