Mitsubishi TV WS 65869 blinking Green Light

I unpluged my tv power cord over night and it wont turn on anymore when i plug it in now. The green light that says timer on top just keeps blinking the whole time. I have unplugged the tv for several hours and hit the reset button as well. No luck. Please help.

This is a common problem with Mitsubishi rear-projection TV's.

See my post at http://www.highdefforum.com/showthread.php?t=58189
or email me at pds318@verizon.net. I can send you the instructions I used to successfully repair my Mitsubishi WS-55613 which was doing the same thing....

On the inside of the tv, there is a circuit board with a metal cover over it. looking in from the rear, it is the tallest one and to your left. its where your usb ports are and also the digital audio ports.its tricky to get it out but once u do there will probably 4 capicators on one corner that will be swolen. they are bad if u see this. you will need 4 16volt 1000 uF(micro Farret) 105degrees c. once u have soldered them into place and are ready to install make sure u get the board in line tn the groves of the plastic line up tool that will still be attatched on the board, and make sure u get the panel conected. plug your tv in wait bout a min, the light dosnt go off reset and wait one more min. it this dosnt cure your problem you probably have a bad module. but if it does work you have a cheep fix. the capacitors are only about 25cents each on mouser.com, and anyone can buy from them.

I have mitsubishi 65" platinum series plus tv model WS-65869. the power green light continues to blink for three days know, and will not reset.

I am assuming the television is not powering up and the only thing it is doing is showing the blinking green light.

Unplug TV from the wall and see if it will reset itself.

If unplugging doesn't fix the problem then you need to find out what is causing problem. First thing to check are the fuses. Second thing to check is looking for burnt resistors or bulging on top of capacitors. Something caused the TV to enter so called safe-mode.

TV's carry alot of voltage in them so BE CAREFUL and UNPLUG THE TV.

If you are handy with a soldering iron then you can save yourself alot of money. An average service call & repair is $300-$450.

Mitsubishi hdtv1080 won't turn on. green timer light flashing

could be a lot of things really. when you replace the bulb, there is a switch that will prevent the tv from turning on if the cover isn't sitting correctly, by moving it that might have shifted so it would blink, but not turn on. if not, well get it serviced, sorry
