1. Open administrative tools - services and check to see that all services set to automatic are started.

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Can not boot dell 6650 from external dvd

Have you checked boot device options....from BIOS
Use F9 during boot to goto ROM-BIOS and change Boot device option to CDROM/DVDROM.
Insert Boot media or DVD-Win2003, to DVD-ROM device..
reboot Server, try now
If still issue.. Check to boot Server using some other media..
if other cd media works, then it could be DVD-Win2003 faulty, otherwise download firmware for CD/DVDROM and upgrade it and check if DVDROM works, otherwise you have to contact Dell Support..

IBM xSeries 360 Server support Win 2003?

The good news is IBM says it will work, the BIOS might require an upgrade. I would consult and get the latest updates for your hardware after that insert CD and reboot!
Have Fun.

Disable usb pendrive,cd rom and floppy in win2003

You can lock the USB drive by editing the registry. So I’ll tell the key name and the value, that you have to create for the restriction. If the key is not present, then simply create it.So here we go:

Restrict Writing to USB Drives:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Control\StorageDevicePolicies

Create DWORD value WriteProtect and set its value to 1

ALso, please click on the link mentioned below for more information:

You can also use third party software to lock the USB drives:

With all due respect, if you have not set up this type of system/network before, I strongly suggest you get an experienced professional to do it. It is not a trivial exercise that could be explained here. If everything were to go well, it would not be too difficult but that is rarely the case and if/when it does go wrong without experience one stands very little chance of fixing it.

If you use Small Business Server 2003 (much easier to set up than Server 2003) then you would probably be able to configure it successfully yourself. However, still be prepared to pay for outside help if you encounter difficult problems :)
