Just place positive from battery to positive on the capcell. Then do the same for the negative on the battery to negative on the capcell. Then run a positve and a negative from the capcell to the amp.

To charge it or activate new device

Hello Maria

First you need to connect your GPS device to your computer with a USB Cord.(Which also charges your device)

Once that is done, you will need to download and install some soft-wares from the manufacturer website onto your computer which you will use to update your GPS device.Once all updates are installed, you are good to go.

To charge your device, connect your device to your car charger and plug into the charging compartment of your car

The link to download updates for your device is

NEW ALTENATOR INSTALLED AND NOT CHARGING THE BATTERY

the alternator needs to see some voltage before it will charge. is the battery completely dead? also ford regulators charge at 12.5-13.5v so don't expect to see the typical 14.5v like most other cars.

Installed new battery, but dash displays no charge, car always starts with 11.5 volts,

Sounds like it needs an alternator. If the alt. is working correctly it should charge at 13 - 15 volts. Your car is a 12 volt system. anything less than that is not charging, it's draining the new battery.

All gauges went dead while driving, lights progressively dimmed and finally engine quit.

Your alternator died. You drove until your battery died also. You need a new alternator and a new battery. You might be able to get away with just charging your battery. Do Not jump start the vehicle and let the new alternator try to charge the old battery! Take the battery to a service station for testing and a charge. Install the new alternator and then install the charged battery not vice versa and you'll be fine.

BATTERY OVERCHARGED AND ALTERNATOR IS FINE

If you have a fully charged battery when you installed then 14 volts is way to much charge for the battery which would mean that the alternator probably has a faulty regulator and the alternator needs to be changed otherwise you will continue to install new batteries. If the battery was in an uncharged state then it is possible for the alternator to charge at full capacity to charge up the battery.

Ticking sound from just installed remanufactured A/C compressor

He's probably right. You wouldn't hear it before he charged the system because the clutch won't engage unless the pressure switches indicate a proper charge. Also, those things need oil. There's a special kind for a/c systems and it's different for each manufacturer. There's a sticker under the hood that tells you what kind. 2oz or so is all you need, but if it's already making noise, it's probably too late.

Phoenix digital 1.5 farad capacitor installation

First off Charging the capacitor can put you holding a high power voltage source. This can be very dangerous. It is enough to kill you. I suggest for safety go ahead and mount the capacitor in its location. The easy way to charge a capacitor is using a 12 volt Battery Charger. Hook the charger up to the capacitor just like it is a battery. + to + and - to - ... Charge the capacitor until the charger meter falls to near zero amps or indictates full charge. No need to use a light bulb or anything. The Charger comes with it own limiting circuitry. I will be posting the wiring instruction shortly.
