My memory card will not stay down in my Kodak easy share z950 how can i fix it so it will stay down

There is a little spring assembly in there that pops the card out when you press a button or something. But if the button is stuck or not working the card will always pop out! If you remove the spring that will do the trick - to remove card in future you use tweezers like I do with my Garmin! Does the trick and works fine!!!!!!!!!!

"Error 05 The built in

This could happen when the surrounding temperature is too cold. The camera uses a spring to pop up the flash. If the oil around the spring freezes, the flash will not pop up at all.

The other thought is about the spring itself. if the spring losses, it will cause the flash not pop up again.

If those are not the issues, you may want to bring it to technical support.

I was just wondering if you can take a photo useing the lcd screen on the pentax k100d

No... that camera (same as mine) does not have that feature.
Practice viewing the picture as soon as you take it. You'll get used to it.

If you want to "test" the shot and not save the pic, then instead of pressing the shutter switch, move the on/off switch past the "ON" position (it is spring-loaded and will return to the "ON" position).

Why is there a delay?? Nikon D90

Sounds like you turned on Exposure delay mode (menu d10). This is similar to the "locking up the mirror" (or somethign) feature on canons.

YOu only need it when you doing a tripod shot with long exposure and you want to minimise absolutly all possibility of shake from the camera its self. Lifting the SLR mirror will cause small shake. Generally you can turn this off (i've felt it ona few times my accident and been confused for a second)

Flash "pop" up mechanism malfunction

Unfortunately it sounds like you would need a full service repair to fix this.

Your only other option would be to try to buy a broken xt from somewhere like ebay (one with a permanent error 99 say) and see if you can swap the flash mechanisms over. No idea how easy/hard this would be however.

Shuts off

I had the same problem. I figured out that it was being caused by loose batteries. When I would shake the camera, I could hear the batteries jiggle around and the camera would turn off. I fixed the issue by taking a stiff piece of wire; bending a little 90 degree hook on the end, and then using the hook to gently lift the little spring in the battery compartment. Now the batteries are firmly secured, and I don't have the problem any more.

Problem with slr camera flash obstruction

The problem is in the flash pop up switch. It is probably jammed in or there is some kind of substance on it causing it to stick. You can find it by manually popping up your flash. You should then see a little black spring loaded post on the release button side of the flash. Check to see that it is not stuck in in any way. If so that is why you are getting error 5. To repair you can try a qtip an a little rubbing alcohol. Otherwise you will need a technician to do it.
