Fuji Finepix S304 - Windows XP problem

Hello Terry,

I have borrowed one of the above from a friend.  Can you tell me why you think
it so great?  I am perplexed by it being an autofocus camera complete with
flash that is unable to focus in low light.  The fixed ISO number is also
irritating.

I borrowed this camera to help me make my mind up on which digicam to buy - it
seems that is not this one, but I'd be happy to be persuaded on the basis of
why others have chosen this model.

It is possible that I'm looking for something that dosen't exist - I want to
replace a Samsung Vega, which is an autofocus (even in pitch dark) zoom 35mm
compact and my aged Minolta X700 with a digicam that combines the best
features of both.  Unrealistic?

Have you tried uninstalling all the Fuji software and using Windows to load your photos to PC? It worked for me.

I have borrowed one of the above and installed the s/w on XP Pro.  The
only hiccough was that the Quicktime plugin shafted Netscape.  Other than
that all appeared to be fine.

I HAVE THIS SAME GREAT CAMERA RUNNING WIN XP PRO INSTALLED WITH NO PROBLEM
DID YOU INSTALL THE SOFTWARE FIRST BEFORE PLUGGING IN THE CAMERA

Have you installed the finepix software?, I've never had a problem with my
S304.
