Not possible. They have it made so you have to buy ringers. Your only solution is to somehow convert an MP3 file into a .3g2 file (video), and have it under 512KB, and under 30 seconds long, and use it as a video ringer.

press the music button select the mp3 you want press options then use as voice ring tone or message tone if you want to assign to a contact you have to goto edit the contact and put it in
you need usb........instead of putting music in the music folder put the song you want as ringer in the audios folder.....this is on your computer....then unplug the usb.....then go to menu go to 2nd screen down(2nd key on the right) go to audio folder then to my audio go to external (3rd tab) go to options(paper looking tab on the bottom of screen) go to move/copy(5) go to move click yes. when you change your ringer it will be in you my audio now
have the newest version of bitpim make sure you have the drivers for the USB cable you are using. open bitpim let it find the phone(it will come up as other CDMA phone) click FILESYSTEM on the left at the bottom expand the folder click dload right click on lg_mysound.dat and save it to your desktop after you save it right click lg_mysound.dat in bitpim and delete it now click brew click media click lk click ms
now drop the songs you want to use as ringers in this file. they will automaticlly load into your phone. it isnt the fastest process but it works.
after they are done loading onto the phone, unhook USB cable from computer, power the phone off and then back on.
the items you just transferred with now be in the my audio file where they need to be to assign them for individual ringers.
everytime you wnat to add new ringers to the phone you have to complete all the steps above, even the deleting that one certain file. not a very hard process and has worked well for me.
