Reinstall windows. Sometimes using the "repair" option first on a reinstall will fix it. Basically what is missing is the system configuration information. Another option is to remove the drive and place it into a working machine and then scan the drive with a file recovery utility to find the missing files and restore them, that depends on how technical you are or familiar with file recovery procedures.

I just restarted my computer, upon logging into my desktop my taskbar is gone. I did the task manager thing, by running a new explorer.exe still nothing. I can't system restore due to the fact there have been no restore points created. I don't know what else to do, and I don't feel like reformatting my brand new desktop computer already.

I restarted my computer, and my desktop taskbar was gone upon returning. All my icons were there but my taskbar. I did the whole end explorer.exe task manager run ****, and I can't run cmd as admin since I dont have a start button to find it and right click it. I dont know what else to do. I tried mouse pulling the sides of my screen to see if I got anything, and i am able to pull away some taskbar icons in the bottom right corner, but idk why my taskbar isnt there
