Computer freezing up

I recently bought a brand new computer with Windows Vista already installed. I've been having a problem with my computer randomly freezing up. It seems to go in streaks. Is that a Vista problem, or should I be taking my computer to be looked at?

Re: Computer freezing up

Your computer is having a problem with the RAM. It will save you time AND money if you just buy more RAM for it. The ram (Random Access Memory) is what keeps your computer from freezing. More than likely, you don't have the required 1028mb that Vista requires. This was probably an oversight by the manufacturer.

The cheapest place to buy RAM is probably from
You can either install it yourself or take it to a computer repair shop and have them install it.

Either way, your computer will be running fine in no time!

Hope this helps!

I have a windows vista basic laptopwhat version

Depends on what computer you have. Different Manufacturers package different software. Look in your programs for Roxio or Cyberlink or Nero. It should already be installed if it's a name brand computer. Good Luck.

Vista is slow

The slowness of Vista depends on the components that you have for the computer. Did you buy your computer with Win Vista installed? If you upgraded your computer from XP to Vista, you have to make sure that it is covered by the system requirements of Vista.

If you have a brand new computer with Vista installed in it, then there could be a little glitch on the program. I've used different kinds of Vista (Home Premium, Vista Business and Vista Ultimate) but none of them worked slow. If that's a brand new computer, I would suggest to contact the manufacturer or the reseller.

Have a great day!

Getting Vista to use my wireless internet connection correctly

One question, is... do you need to enter a KEY or is this an open network?
I have found that with a new computer, you need to do the following to connect.
If this is an open network, then leave your router running, and just do a cold boot with your computer.
IE: Shut down, count to 10, and then re-start.
You may also need to connect (by network cable) to your router and make sure the wireless is turned on.
Most new rountes start with the wireless disabled.

Help me..whats going on with windows xp home edition

When installing a new operating system, all file saved will be deleted. Since you've lost all data, you might as well format the entire drive, and then reinstall the vista inspirat thing. Then, download an Avast! anti virus form Download the home version, which is free and scan the computer for any viruses. Delete every last one of the suckers.

Can not install CD for my Mp3 player

You are probably signed on as a "guest" - every computer running windows XP or higher (Vista included) considers every user as a "guest" or an "administrator". Restart your computer, and sign in as an administrator. I don't know how computer saavy you are, but my real name is "Cor-y K-o-t-g-n" (I left out letters on purpose to protect my identity), so the login account that I created for myself when I upgraded to Windows XP was named Cor-y K-e-t-g-n- I also assigned it as an administrator account. My firends/family that use the computer are "guests" - if they log in to their particular names, they can use the computer, but they cannot install new software. I hope this helps a little.
