Mute button is broken and the section where the 9 volt battery goes

I have a shure beta 58a wireless microphone and the mute button is broken it slides up and down without staying in one place and the part where the 9 volt battery goes, the input on the positive side a piece of it is broken off and the battery wont stay in correctly.

You have two choises:1-buy anew one;
2-buy an used one from the used msrket and replce defective component.

Connect the output from the receiver to the T1® Channel 1.
Select CHEdit for Channel 1 (press the button).
Set the ToneMatch Preset to
Vocal Microphones
Preset Shure Beta 58

Where is the mute button on shire beta 58a

I assume you are asking about a wired Beta 58A. The Beta 58A is not offered with a switch. Audio Engineers do not like switches on microphones as the talent could accidentally switch off the microphone.

mah = milli-amp hours. This measures how long the battery can support a particular current rating. Either will work just fine with the mic, but more than anything else, it's a measure of how long the batteries will last. I would personally go for the 850's.

I have a shure beta 58 a mic problem is when i turn it on nothing happens but a green light and turn off any idea which are to repair?

The "Beta 58A" is just the cartridge on top. It would be more important to find the model number inside the battery compartment. Call Shure Tech Support at 800-516-2525 and they will be able to help you troubleshoot. Have the wireless system nearby when you call them.

I'm guessing that you have a wireless microphone. It appears that the transmitter will need to be sent to Shure for repairs.

The Beta 58A head simply unscrews from the handle (just below the grill). It will fit all Shure handheld transmitters.
