Question about Gigabyte GA-M61PM-S2 Motherboard

1 Answer

10 GB I have installed the Belkin Wireless G router on my Toshiba laptop (windows XP) and then installed the Wireless G USB adaptor to my desktop pentium II pc (10GB).After configuring, it appears not to have any available networks on my Pentium desktop. My laptop is fine. ( An area of puzzlement is that i had ticked " dynamic IP" during the installation for the router on my laptop. I am making this assumption that it is dynamic IP but am not sure if this is the right setting or otherwise- Is this critical or problematic) Secondly, i had assumed my network security is WPA even though i am not sure it is WPA or otherwise. Let windows manage the wireless connection for you and not the belkin adaptor...Go to help and support for more information..Hope THis helps

Run the wireless wizard in network connections first and then you should get the option for windows to manage the connection for you...

What is a belkin n wireless usb adapter model # fsd8053v4 used for and can u connect to the internet with it and where do i get the driver?

The wireless adapter is used to connect wireless to the internet, You can use it to make your desktop wireless and laptop.
You can connect to the internet as long as you have a wireless router in your place that will supply the wireless signal.

The driver can be download on this website
http://www.belkin.com/

Trying to install Belkin router/modem on PC with XP SP3. Setup assistant reports ''not able to connect to router using any network adaptor in this computer''. Any advice very welcome. Thanks RT

What is pictured on your request, is wireless.. are you on a laptop or a desktop ? Most desktops do not have wireless built in, you would need to buy a CAT/5 network cable to plug in from the PC to your Cable Modem/Router. Then you would use IE to access it, or Belkin's built in installer and configuration software. Some older laptops do not have wireless and/or bluetooth built in. You would then need to buy a PCMCIA card or USB dongle to get back in the grove of the router.

Email me if you need more info.

Restored factory settings on pc & cant re -instal belkin adaptor

The Belkin site has very specific instructions for installing this adapter in a pc with Vista. These instructions are at: http://www.belkin.com/support/article/?lid=en&pid=F5D9050&aid=6112&scid=0
I would first unistall any Belkin Software that has already been installed, shut down the system completely and then restart. After you have fully restarted the system then follow the Belkin Site instructions EXACTLY. Any variation is apt to mean an unsuccessful install. Good Luck and have patience.

Belkin products are notorious for breaking down at a high rate. If you wanted to rule out your computer as the culprit, you could install the belking adapter on your laptop (disable the built-in one) and see if it still works. I would also suggest going here:

and typing in your product model # and downloading the latest firmware/software for it. As always, restart your computer.

D-Link wireless router and Belkin Wireless G USB Network adapter

Set your wireless network as a preferred network and to automatically connect to it. Also set it at the top of the list so that it takes precedence. If you continue to get conflicts, change the channel of the router.

Hope this be of some idea/help. Pls post back with your desktop brand/model/motherboard. Good luck and kind regards.

Belkin wireless G USB adaptor 802 11g

Correct installation of this cheap little piece of kit from Belkin might be the worst thing you ever do! If you find that Windows XP is freezing 10 times per day, just remove the wirelss adaptor and you will find that the problem disappears... The conclusion will be as obvious to you as to many other users.
