Question about Brother SE-270D Computerized Sewing Machine
This is my new toy and I've not yet used the embroidery function. This is probably a stupid question but here goes anyway: i want to embroidery on something that is already sewn together--a purse actually--but obviously only on one side of the purse. It looks like if I set it up the way the manual says, I can't slide only one side of the material on top of the machine to be embroidered. Or if this is easier to understand--say I want to embroider something on a pocket on a shirt but don't want it to go through the pocket and into the inside of the shirt (just on the top section of the pocket--not stitching the pocket together). Is this possible on this machine and how?
No it is not possible. If you invent a hoop to do this you will become richer than Bill Gates. When you want to do embroidery on a pocket, you have to remove the pocket first, do the embroidery and stitch the pocketback onto the shirt.
Sad but true.

Can you tell me if it's possible to get a how to manual on how to set up the words on the embrodery computer part, Everytime I enter a word, it only allows me to enter 3 letters and it's full. What am I doing wrong? I watched the instruction CD and it only shows how to intall the embroidery parts and not the how to. would appreciate any help you may have.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know if I can purchase an instructional CD on how to embroidery and not only how to intall the embroidery parts.
