Re: power supply

There is an internal fuse in the power supply adapter but you have to cut the box open to get to it.did this myself replaced the fuse and it now works fine

There is no sound from my speakers

Dose the green LED light up at the front ? . If it does not its a power supply issue. You must have burnt the transformer in the power supply unit. If the light lights up ans there is no sound it could be the Amplifier Chip (IC ) problem. This will involve soldering and desoldering work not to mention procuring the IC.Cos wise the IC just cost about 3$ ans the transformer about 7$.

Have no sound speakers green light is off

The green light represents that the unit is receiving power, if the light is off then the unit is not receiving power. Check the power plug. Check the power switch on the speakers. You may need to push in a knob.

Take care!

I have no power supply cord for my labtec lcs-1030 speakers- what do i replace it with? i cannot find specs for it anywhere online

On the back of one of the speakers, there will be 3 plugs; a green one, a grey one, and a black one. The black one is the power plug. Right below the power plug it says the voltage needed (I could only find one picture online, and it looks like it says 15v, which would be 15 volts). That number is the needed supply voltage, so search google for (number under plug) volt power adapter.

I used to use desktop speakers but now i want to use the speakers built in to my monitor and they dont work

Look for a green 3.5mm port (the size of a headphone jack) on the back of your tower and connect that with an audio cable to the computer's speaker output (probably a green plug also on most PC's)
If the monitor speakers have their own power supply make sure they are also plugged in and powered on.

I recently installed Windows 7 and my Boston BA745 speakers will not work. I'm looking for driver or other solutions.

1) Try the portable player test. Unplug the speakers from the computer and plug them into the headphone output of a portable-type stereo product. This test should produce sound. If it does the problem is most likely in the soundcard, or in your internal volume settings. You should contact your computer's support group for further help in those areas.

2) Is the green power light illuminated? If not, you could have one of two possible causes. The first and less serious issue is that the power supply is not outputting the correct voltage. You can test the power supply with a voltage meter or you can always take the power supply to any electronics store and have it checked there. If it is not outputting the correct voltage (12VAC), contact our parts department for a new one at (978) 538-5136.

If the power supply is working properly, then your problem is most likely in the amplifier. In this case, we will need to fix your system here, and you can contact customer service at the above phone number to set this up.

3) If the system is connected properly and you have a green subwoofer light, disconnect the power supply from the wall for 10 minutes. This is a common problem on overloaded surge protectors. To many devices on the same surge protector can limit available power. Putting your speaker system on its own circuit (or a more dedicated one) should eliminate this problem.

4) Check the bass level on the back of your subwoofer, (or on your desktop control pod. For best subwoofer performance place the woofer on the floor along a wall or better still in a corner. This "corner loading" will increase bass output.

Loud buzzing, but no sound

Sounds like they are plugged into the wrong port on your computer? You need to make sure they are plugged into the Green ringed port on your sound card.
Hope this helps

The green light on the two speakers and subwoofer will not power on. The power button is on however ther is no power.

There could be a fuse gone in the plug or in the power supply itself. Try a universal power supply to see does that solve the problem.

may be you have not installed the audio drivers.... if not then so install it & then try it will work..
if it is installed then check whether the audio cable from speakers to the cpu is correctly connected to audio jack in the cpu..(u must connect to green audio port)
check whether the power supply of the speakers is given r not...
check whether the power button of the speaker is on ....

if the same problem persists then there may be miscontact inside the speaker (if the speaker is showing green light when it is on means then there is no power supply cable problem else there may be power supply cable problem try changing it )
may be the capacitor inside the speaker is gone
if the problem persists then
take the speakers to technician ....

Compaq computer speakers

Make sure that you have the correct power supply for the speakers. If you are connecting them to a desktop, look for the light green 1/8 plug on the back of the computer. Again, make sure that you have the power supply that came with the speakers. Do not plug the power supply in until you connect the 1/8 plug from the speaker to the light green plug on the back of the computer.
